Oslo Guideservice was run for several years by the municipality of Oslo, but since 1993 it has been owned by Oslo Guide Association, the oldest guide association in Norway. Oslo Guide Association is a member of the Norwegian Guide Federation and several other international guide organisations.  The association has around 150 members, all licensed Oslo guides, who cover altogether 25 different  languages.

Over the years Oslo Guideservice has  arranged tours for millions of tourists in and around  Oslo. Our office is situated at the Oslo Cruise Terminal which give us an advantage for providing guides for cruise ships.

Oslo Guideservice also provides guides for groups arriving in Oslo by bus - all year around. If necessary we can assist with transportation. Though guiding is our main business we are more than happy to help out with  transfers, assistance at the airport, interpretation and hospitality desks at congresses and seminars.

Oslo Guide Association runs courses for the education of new guides and also focuses on the further education of their guide members.  To become a member, the guides must have successfully  taken an examination set by the municipality of Oslo.

Oslo Guideservice is  a shareholder in VisitOSLO AS, the capital region's travel- and tourism association.
