Compared to other capitals Oslo is a compact city full of contrasts. The city's location, between the fjord and the forested hills, gives great opportunities for different leisure time activities. You may go for a stroll in the city centre or use the nature surrounding the city.
Walking in the heart of Oslo
Most sights in the city centre are quite close, so depending on the time you want to spend on a walking tour, we tailor make an interesting walking tour for you. A walk through the Akershus Castle, past the Parliament, the Old University, the Royal Palace, and the National Theatre to the City Hall and the waterfront is a beautiful two hour tour.
Walk through the Old Town of Oslo
Wandering in the old part of Oslo from the Ruins Park with St. Hallvard Church, Olav's Monastery and St. Edmunds Church down to Øra with its paths to the Kings farm and Maria's Church.
Akerselva River Environment Park
Akerselva is a beautiful 8 kilometre long river with 23 waterfalls. It is a nice walk from the Maridalsvannet to the centre of Oslo, but for most visitors we make a shorter tour of two or three hours walking - including a visit to the Museum of Science & Technology for those who are interested.
Nordmarka Forest tour
The Nordmarka Forest surrounds the city of Oslo, and is used by the locals during both summer and winter. We can take you on a tour - on skis or on foot - and we suggest to include a stop at the old Frognerseteren Restaurant where you will have a magnificant view of the city, and taste their famous apple cace!
